Oysters by Bucks County painter/photographer Jennifer Hill is a stunning body of work exploring themes of light, movement, digestion of color and being a witness to one’s own evolution.
Hill is showing works on paper after years of learning from and working with camera obscura. Recent works capture, witness and allow the flow of changing forms to create a sense of an eternal present. Movement, time, and patterns of light show how color can assist and affect that movement of the continuum. Hill has had a lifelong interest in the crossroads of photography and painting. She moved back into painting because painting is “not only the eye, but the arm as well!” Oysters is a door propped open to another world of silt and splendor.
