Linda Pompeo views the topic of identity from the point of view of early 20th century surrealist photographer Claude Cahun, re-imagining the work of the French photographer with paint and brushes. Cahun rejected traditional gender roles from at least 1914, preferring "neutral" to her or him. Pompeo assists visitors to the gallery in seeing the world from a unique perspective: our language literally hasn't got the words to describe all of us.
