Closing Reception: Sunday April 30, 2- 4 pm, Artist Talk, and a Video Presentation
Atacama—my inspiring Desert, is a solo exhibition celebrating my 40 years of Exhibitions (1983-2023). Curated by Gloria Garafulich-Grabois, it is presented with nominal support of the Embassy of Chile to the US, and the Consulate General of Chile in New York.
The exhibition includes paintings from the Atacama series (2016-2017); and from the Still Atacama series (2022-2023), inspired by my previous trips to archeological sites especially rich in rock art, in the Atacama Desert in Northern Chile --with my husband in 1980-1995, and subsequently in 2016 and 2018. I have invited my husband Ricardo Guajardo-Romero, also an artist and designer, to create a painting for this exhibition.
