Abstraction in Paint and Pots

Through the pieces in this exhibit, Abstraction in Paints and Pots, I demonstrate how the organic approach to my paintings with oil and cold wax can carry over in producing handmade pottery. The “pinch pots” are colored by a technique that results in totally unusual and unexpected patterns of color. The formation of the pots can take unusual shapes and forms in the process before they are bisqued and saw dust fired.
