Jim Kippen was the most creative of artists, working in media as diverse as Super 8 films, paintings, pastels, drawings, collage and mail art.  In later years, he began experimenting with non-traditional materials, including Scotch and silk tape and inkjet transfers along with analog 3-D painting. Jim was a beloved member of Muse Gallery for many years, and his death in 2023 was a tragedy for all of us, and for the Philadelphia art scene generally. His point of view was humorous, eclectic and profound, and we miss him dearly. It is in his honor and in remembrance of him that Muse Gallery, along with Jim’s family presents a memorial exhibition: Jim Kippen In Retrospect. We invite you to join us for First Friday on August 2nd, from 5-8 pm.
