Paintings and collages by Susan McKee and paper-mache assemblages by Drew Zimmerman express the idea that "What Happens Next?" is the mysterious result of individual striving, the collective will, and ordinary accidents--whether we want it or not. We cast our hopes and dreams, and life fractures them.
From the pieces of our joys and tragedies, art augurs a new dream, because only art can express life's relentless renewal from the inevitable fractures of our fairy tales. Everything that is today could not be if it were not for that which came before.
