Shirley Kern: Paintings In Conversation

I am interested in creating a work of art that is alive with emotional interest but has no fixed meaning, open to interpretation by all, similar to poetry and music. My new series of paintings are a reflection in time of the internal conversations I had with the work while in the meditative state of painting. I am searching for a surprise and curious what conversations might surface without words and narratives.
