Leora Brecher continues to draw inspiration from nature and the human figure.  She is fascinated by the grand and intimate in nature and the human figure’s energy and grace in movement. With her abstract clay sculptures Leora explores the dualities of life … two entities which in concert form a whole.  By focusing on the ebb and flow of energy within each piece, she explores the dynamic tension between simplicity and complexity, movement and stasis, turmoil and tranquility.  Her multidimensional sculptures challenge us to view each piece from a variety of perspectives, leading us to an understanding that a change in perspective changes the essence of the piece. She has chosen to work in white clay in order to highlight the contrast between light and shadow and reveal the purity, simplicity and tranquility inherent in each piece.
